The Portuguese Association of European Law (APDE), together with the IEP - Catholic University of Portugal’s Institute for Political Studies and in collaboration with the Ukrainian Embassy in Portugal, is organising the Conference entitled "Accession of Ukraine to the European Union - what do we need for a successful enlargement ?" which will take place on 20 February 2024 in Auditorium 3 of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon.
The conference will be part of APDE's 40th anniversary celebrations and will also mark 20 years since the biggest enlargement of the European Union in European history.
José Luís da Cruz Vilaça, managing partner of CVA, will be one of the speakers on the 2nd panel, entitled "Building a bridge (major institutional challenges for accession)", together with António Fontes Ramos (Professor IEP-UCP), Margarida Marques (Member of European Parliament) and Pavlo Klimkin (former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine).
