José Luís da Cruz Vilaça, founding and managing partner of CVA, was elected by unanimity as the President of the Board of Directors of the Association des Anciens Membres des juridictions de l’Union Européenne, the courts of the European Union he served for many years, either as Advocate General and Judge of the Court of Justice or first President of the Court of First Instance, now the General Court.

His election, for a two years term, took place on December 6 in Luxembourg, in the context of the celebrations of the 70^th anniversary of the Court of Justice of the European Union, attended by José Luís da Cruz Vilaça, in the presence of the Grand-Duke Heir of Luxembourg, current and former members of both EU Courts as well as representatives of the other EU institutions.
