José Luís da Cruz Vilaça, managing partner of CVA, former Advocate General, President of the Court of First Instance, and Judge of the Court of Justice of the European Union will be one of the speakers in the third session of “CJEU in Focus”, a webinar hosted by the European Union Law and Competition Law Working Groups of the European Union Institute (Florence), that will happen on the 23th January 2024, from 10:00 to 12:00 (Lisbon Time).

During this session, José Luís da Cruz Vilaça and Jean-Louis Dupont, one of Europe’s most influential “euro-lawyers”, that represented Jean-Marc Bosman, David Meca-Medina and Igor Majcen, will focus on the three new, cross-referential, landmark decisions of the Court of Justice in the field of sport: C-124/21 P, International Skating Union, C-333/21, European Superleague Company and C-680/21, Royal Antwerp Football Club.

Both lawyers have intervened in the European Superleague Company proceedings. José Luís da Cruz Vilaça represented the Portuguese Republic at the oral hearing.
